does anyone who where i can get that handy dandy adapter bracket so i can run a new style master using the original pedal and location? I noticed the filling station has one for $200 but it says that it uses the original brake and clutch pedal, now my clutch isnt going to be hydraulic. Or does anyone know if that'll work for just the brakes? I saw a while ago a place where i can get the adapter and use a 1" bore master out of a mustang....but i cant remember for the life of my where i saw it at. Thanks in advance! P.S. i dont mean to bug anyone but im finally back into this project again now that the dodge business coupe is finished. Hope to have this one on the road by my wedding day....which is august 23rd of this year.....OUCH! lol
I have the National Chevy Association dual master cylinder kit on my '53 wagon. It uses the stock pedal and was a direct bolt in.
national chevy is out of the dual brake kit and "wont have it in for a while" at least thats what the guy told me today when he called. now i gotta think of somethin new.
I used the pic on the NCA website and made my own. Quite simple really I used a 67-76 Vette (non power) MC. Also, Buffalo ent. offers the excat some conversion as NCA. Todd
I second what Tman says, they have the bracket available but it didn't show up on there site, the only way I knew about it was because someone else told me so I picked one up. Also be careful because I believe allot of the other brackets sold actually move your master cylinder almost under your seat! Were as the eci doesn't hope this helps you.
Let's see if I can make sense of this for you. I imagine you still want the one for brake/clutch. On the factory set up all the M/C is the same except for an extra hole for the clutch rod. (The innerds are a little different also but you aren't going to be using the factory M/C). You are still going to need to mount the clutch to something. Something has to hold it in place unless you are doing a complete custom set up.
