53-54 chevys lets see your gauges

    looking to see how you guys do your gauge setup. I got a panel made for mine but can only fit 3 small gauges on the right side of the speedo......i coulda swore i remember seeing 4 in some cars. lemme see what you guys did.

    I think that the original ones are the cats ***, so I am keeping them as is.

    I kept the stock gauges because they look so good. And I just made a new panel to go inbetween them and powdercoated it.

    I have three also, from what I've been told, you can only fit 3 in the stock bezel. The ones with four guages are a billet housing. I put my volt guage in a single chrome underdash mount under the headlight switch. It's the guage I look at the least, but I still want one.

    i see a lot of original speedos, are they pretty accurate with a 350 sbc and a 4 speed saginaw?

    I used the speedo guts out of a 70's chevy truck in mine....its a simple swap as everything behind the face is identical. I have a th350 and a nova rear with a 2:73 gear and the speedo seems fairly accurate.
