Calling all those in the QC area to stand up and identify yourself. Either by shops, clubs, garages or what not. Always looking for new friends who are into hot rodding.

Nashty, Im glad you used your first post for this! lol What kind of rods are you into? I have some friends that weld for JD. and a friends GF who works for HR in hiring, She is freakin HOT too.
My shop is Strange Motion, www.strangemotion.com Small shop, work on only rods, customs, trucks, a few restos....
My in-laws live in Rock Island, 'cept for my Sister In-Law who lives in Fulton. We come up that way once in a while. Does that count? Deano
PoPo, I'm standing up?! Can you see me??? I'm just acrossed the Muddy Mississippi from you. If you send me a PM with your address...I'll stop by sometime (when you're in the garage). I have plenty of extra 49-52 GM parts, if you need anything for that truck of yours.
Damn, how'd I miss this one?! Work in RI in what's left of the old Farmall plant, live 18 miles South of Milan. I plan on having the Stude at the Monmouth Cruise on Aug. 1st and will hopefully be able to make the Fred Gibb show the next day in LaHarpe but only as a spectator there. I still like my musclecars too.......
Although I live in Mechanicsville, IA i run two mail routes out of the post office in Milan...Might just as well live in Milan
I was planning before on having a HAMB BBQ but everyone wanted it at Cordova during the drags, well the FLOOD happened and well I had to work 12-16 hour days. I am trying to get my truck done before Aug 1st, probably wont happen due to time and lack of help, but I am still planning on a Fall BBQ for the QC area and those who want to join. I wanted to have my truck done for my wedding Aug 30th for pics. anyone interested in hanging out im always available. PM me and lets set it up.
Even if you don't get the truck done you should try to make the Monmouth Cruise Aug. 1, there's something for everybody. They block off about a mile and a half of Main Street and it's solid cars and trucks with a few bikes, boats, race cars and half finished projects on trailers thrown in to keep it interesting. Last year there were supposedly about 1500 cars show up so if you're taking a vehicle for the cruise get there early. If you take 67 out of Milan there is bridge construction about 10 miles South of Viola and the put some nasty rumble strips right at the top of a big hill part way into a curve. It made my Stude ratlle for damn sure!
i was two years ago, not sure if you remember a candy green chopper sitting at McDonalds. Well yeah it broke the clutch cable as i pulled up to the light. I went to school at Western in Macomb also. Many trips up and down 67. ill try but if i dont have the truck done there is no way im trailering it down there. its all or nothing lol. i do have another motorcycle that i could ride down there and follow some friends in their cars. just not family friendly that way. we will see. i got the motor in and the tunnel cut last night. getting closer. now im headed to get some different metal than i had to make the tunnel.
[ I wanted to have my truck done for my wedding Aug 30th for pics. so you can haul the kegs right???if so, i might show up! you shoulda came to cordova it was a hoot! but there wasnt a bbq!!!
i woulda been at cordova but the mighty miss made me work 12-16 hour days and I need my sleep if im going to work at all productively atleast and my garage fridge always has beer and if not. HyVee is always willing to sell!! Rudebaker: Where is your house on 67? PM if you dont want your info on here for everyone to scam and send you random stuff or stop by and steal your steel.
PM sent. Had a white over red '62 Impala SS a few years ago, then a white over red '76 Monte Carlo with T-tops. YOu may have seen them out in the drive when you went by. The MC wasn't here long though, wasn't really my cup of tea. I bought it for the youngest to fix up for his first car and he didn't so I took it and messed with it for a year or so. Got it running good and cleaned it up then sent it down the road, in fact it went to Macomb.
