big thanks to Dan Collins

trouble with a new addition our club , a48 Buick, made us stop half way to Santa Barbara.
hood up and on the side of the road we had someone stop to help and wouldn't you know it, it was our buddie Dan.
Dan knows Buicks and offers the use of this house for repairs.
we limp it to his place, made a mess on the street in front of his house and we were back on the road.

dan, thanks again man. will try and make your opening with the 48....
threw in the towel going into SB, its the last city on the way up where i knew it could be stashed safely, ive only owned it for a couple months and its untested....im still happy with the overall performance. the gearing may be more than 4:11's actually... next year will be different. already started working on it.

just another picture... this was right outside S.B. going up a fairly steep grade, buzzing the motor @ 3k rpm or more, about 50 mph...

220 degrees ...the oil gauge isnt hooked up, stock gauge works fine.

 

3000 RPM's at 50 MPH? YIKES!

Dan stopping was too cool. Maybe he was scouring the roadsides for beaters to fix in the new shop? With that kind of customer service, I'm sure it will be a big success. Hope we don't run into you next year until we his Santa Maria. No offense. See you at your open house if not before.

hey sam, im happy as hell to have something that can drive while i work on it....been a very long time. the buick needs some things but its a good looking & fun ride.... if my work schedule allows, id like to drive it up to Billetproof.
