Hello I just purchased top and body wood kits from Sacramento Vintage ford and their are a couple of pieces i just cant figure out a location for. The header above the window is also a mystery. Does anyone one have any visuals or know a link that will help me with this. I searched tech to no avail.
    Thanks
    Dennis

Yes. There are diagrams and parts lists at Ford Wood's website here:

Good luck and post some pics. I'm replacing some top parts next month.

  7. What kind of 28/29 sedan are you working on? It makes a big difference. The Fordors are termite ridden like a Chevy. Less so with a Tudor, but still a problem.
I bought my Tudor wood kit from Snyders. Some of the pieces need to whittled, sanded, and ground on to fit the car. It's not a correct fit out of the box.

After messing around with the wood kit I find that you are exactly right. I had to bring the header in 1/2 inch on each side and contour it as well. It is a sedan.

Thanks for the pictures nine inch.

  10. Pick up Model A Mechanics Volume II. I figured out some placement problems and missing parts in my car. This book has a section on A top wood. It's great if you're starting with a fairly complete car. They were taking out pieces I would've loved to have for my 29 Tudor.

  12. What directiions are y'all going with your cars? I'm on a boxed stock frame, dropped 32 wide beam, 57 9", no chop/slice/whack.
