49-54 Chevy bullet caps?

    Does any one make push through bullett caps for the 49-54 OE Chevy wheels? they measure about 2-7/8 or close to that...every thing I find is 3.00 or larger,any ideas?,Thanks

    you can find generic ones on just about any hotrod/car site....like Speedway and the likes.

    All I can find is 3"...nobody makes anyting smaller

    The size you're finding is 2.95". Its made that size for a reason. If it were any smaller it wouldn't go over the hub on your car. you only have to grind a little off the wheel

    Check out e-bay. I got caps and bullet lugs for my 54 chevy for 69.00. All you have to do is grind some around the center hole to get them to fit. Not hard at all.

    You probably have to get your holes machined. Grinding that much out of a hole that size will more than likely not be true to the center. Then your wheels will be so out of balance you'll hate em.

    Thanks for all the help...will be getting some 2.95 caps and lugs from Wheelkid next week and doing the grind...Ken
