I had a chance to introduce myself in a previous post. Great site, fantastic resource, glad to be here! I've always had a thing for traditional Rods and have just bought my first. It's an improved A on A rails, with a 53 Merc flathead mill running 2 97's on a Thickstun intake, 3 speed toploader, and a banjo axel out of a 39 Ford. It's had a 3 inch chop, and is in black primer with some cool looking pinstripping. I live in Melbourne, Australia the Rod is still in the States, being shipped out soon. Always been a gear-head, owned a stack of muscle cars both US and Australian. Looking forward to getting behind the wheel of this Model A coupe, and clocking up some miles. Have long term plans of keeping this Rod and swapping out the flattie for an early HEMI either Chrysler or DeSoto. Thought I might post some pix. *****
I wouldn't be in any hurry whatsoever to make any changes until you've enjoyed it for a good long time. What a beauty!

Thanks fellas, let me just add something before I ruffle any feathers. I love the flathead mill. I love the way they look, the way they sound, there street / racing heritage, and their street cred. I'm going to enjoy the Model A with the Merc flattie for a long while before I even think of swapping her out. Even if I do, she'll have pride of place in the garage as an icon. Displayed lovingly, and adored as automotive art! Amen *****

Great looking ride but have you looked into the rego properly.....not too many LHD rods licenced also a LOT of trouble over the no gaurds issue in Vic. Hope it goes smoothly but start some serious inquires now whilst its on the water. Good luck, I sense you wil need it.

Reminds me of a Model A that was featued in American Rodder about 15 years ago. I love it. Congrats on your new ride.
