Me, 59 Ford Girl, (SWF 30's ; just in case your wondering). My 59 Ford Ranchero Nameless is a MAJOR p***ion in my life and if you don't get that you don't get me... My car represents Freedom to me (and headaches sometimes). It is what America is to me; the fiber of life in a true touchable form...Metal is ***y, grease is the lube that gets my engine going! My dad raised me in the garage, got-****-blocked in High School when I tried to do Auto-shop, teacher was totally ***ist...my tenacity has challenged 'the barbie' mentality. http://59ranchero.blogspot.com/ http://www.westcoastrancheros.com/ http://www.myspace.com/thenetworkgirl PS. What the hell is a "ruler contest"? (from read this first post) and I prefer chairs with wheels over 'lawn chairs' they are great fun to roll around a no tell motel in Santa Maria drinking Whiskey. (ya, got a huge capacity for drinking Whiskey)
Hey 59FordGirl, Welcome to the HAMB. I joined your Ranchero club a while back. I ***ume it is inactive. Mike
Actually just posted to the Club Last Night, trying to figure out what shows everyone is going to...the 'Rods and Wheels' website I have been using to manage the club didn't do everything I wanted but they got some new tools I am going to try out...what's your plans for summer car shows?
"Ford Girl" + "Whiskey" +“Metal is ***y, grease is the lube that gets my engine going” = Perfection Welcome Greg
Thanks you'all. Forgot this link has the bulk of my before & after photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thenetworkgirl/collections/72157605336770140/
59FordGirl, Well, I like to stick close to home at local shows. Like the monthly Cappuccino Cruisers car show at Red Robin in Folsom (Ranchero and El Camino night last month.) – next show is Wednesday, June 25th. I plan to attend the monthly Auburn Cruise night (missed the first one) – next is Friday, June 13. I also get out to Downtown Tuesday’s frequently in old Roseville. The Midnight M*** show at Cal Expo on July 26 is a show you should attend if at all possible. You will love it. Mike
Nice car....I always liked those late 50's fords. THE SWF designation will have every guy on here messaging you!
lol nah, being SWF - actually scares most guys off...a girl who likes cars, um let me re-phrase that - a girl who likes working on her car, who actually smiles and doesn't give at***ude - scares off most guys. because of course something must be wrong with a girl like that?!
Hey Mike, you going to Midnight M***? Its been on my calendar. It will be my pre-birthday celebration....I will see who else can come out from the WestCoastRancheros.
hey ford girl...welcome to the HAMB. as for shows up in the nor cal area you can go to the road devils forum and do some intros there also. girls that work on their own cars are NOT a threat to real men and i welcome any and all ladies that can turn their own wrenches and not worry about the manicure. our club is usually involved in some kind of events almost every weekend. and we have some great brothers and sisters up your way also. and you can sit on my hood any time, thank you. oh and jack daniels single barrel rules. later dudes chuck
59FordGirl, I am not going to Midnight M*** this year....and it ****s! A friend is getting married that night! (a non-car guy) His wedding starts at 5:00 pm. I thought about heading over to M*** after the wedding/reception, but I think I will just have to miss the show this year. I am already looking forward to next year. Mike
Hey Chuck, you going to be at Ink and Iron? PS. Usually when I am switching up from Jack I choose Bushmill instead (though family is Irish Catholic)...
"PS. Usually when I am switching up from Jack I choose Bushmill instead (though family is Irish Catholic" Nice Never Scared G
Nice Ranchero - and I LOVE a woman that works on her own car with her own ideas and talent - but you might want to shave those hands! Just messing with you (***uming that is some other person's hand) and welcome to the HAMB.
lol. Nah, my hands didn't get involved till after the engine was pulled for the initial "what the hell did you buy?!" once over...there is certainly some 'smoke and magic' that needs to be handled in the hands of a magicians. Magicians: Cl***ic Hot-Rod Performance (now in Vegas) Maintains a great Ebay store with Chevy parts (don't hold it against him Ford Peeps). & Gemini Motor Works - East Bay "Restoration and Repair". Yet, mind you, I have been peeking in the goody bag and have discovered some of the tricks of the trade....banging, yelling and throwing tools helps... But I haven't mastered that trick. I still talk nice to my Ranchero; she's a good girl. I got a lot of sh@t from people when I first bought the car. I didn't ask anyone. didn't tell anyone I was doing it. I just went for it $500 Cash - asking $800. Friends thought I was nuts. But my love for her has made them see the beauty under her hood. Just needed a fuel pump, steering wheel and radiator. That's it; she ran right away. She reminds me of me sometimes. She's got her own thing going on, not everyone gets it...but the right people do.
Welcome all the way from Indiana! We have something in common. I love '59 Fords too! Just to let you know now... you will be addicted to this site.
