speedway's killin me were do I get

    FORD FLAT PLATE STEERING ARMS speedway has been out for over 2 months and I really need some.

    been thinkin about that but I dont know how thick they need to be or if the steel needs to be treated.

    hmm...did you try sacramento vintage ford?how about total performance maybe?honest charley?i dont really know if any of these places carry these,but it sure as hell wouldnt hurt to try!

    I would make them out of 3/8" and not worry about the heat treat.

    Go on eBay and do an advanced search of skinhead661. Thats Jim Kirby who formally owned Challenger Equipment back in the seventies. He has flat plate sterring arms listed for sale. Always treated me right!

    If you end up making your own get the best material available, 1018 Cold Roll or better. If you don't tig weld have it done professionally. If you heat the material don't burn the carbon out. We all know that safety is no accident. Ch***is Engineering has forged steering arms and I've used them, very good material, but I don't know if they have arms for your application.
