you know I used to be registered here, but it was so long ago, and I usually lurk and never log in that I had to reregister, since I guess the system dropped me....but look I have managed to maintain a relationship with Tiny for some 9 years now, and have done it from my home in Baltimore, Md. Now, Im not gonna defend him, BUT I know that this guy who just posted -Hooligansince65- does have a car at his shop...I emailed tiny and he says the car is there and if this guys name is Bobby Brown, that they just lost touch. I know another member here has contacted bobby off list, (or will ) and hook those two guys back up. I think the thing to remember is, -and Im sure I will get jumped for this since I dont have like, a six THOUSAND post count-and that seems to be the way people are judged around here- but I think the thing to remember is that ANYONE at ANY time can level a charge of malfeasance onto anyone....especially in an environment where people can log on with handles, safely cloaked in annonimity. Not really fodder for public disscussion, hmmmm. I don't agree. I think it what's called word of mouth advertising. Anyone can come up with some slick magazine ads or cool webpage but nothing says more about a buisness (good or bad) then word of mouth. It keeps the good shops going and fortunatly it's the only thing that will run a hacker or ripoff artist out of town other thena bunch of lawsuits. I not commenting on Tiny, don't know anything about it, but people don't normally badtalk anyone without a reason.
I suppose you have a point there "metalman" and I agree with you. However, I am always concerned with that "pack" mentality that in the old days turned into lynch mobs with little or no justification. look man, Im sure he has pissed people off, I think ANY business if you look hard enough has people who dont like it, or feel ripped off by it to one degree or another. My point was simply that in such an environment as this, where there is NO -and I mean NO accountability as to who says what, or what the factual basis is for what they allege, good OR bad, is always, in my mind going to be somewhat cir***spect at best. I have been a customer of this guys in the past, and he has never done me wrong, as I am sure there are many, many others who would tell you that. In the same breath however, Im also certain that he has made mistakes and probably promised more than he could deliver, or whatever from time to time. I have to tell you though, as for this one guy, (tiny)I dont think he gets out of bed in the morning and tries to come up with ways of ripping people off. Public discussion is fine, and Im all for it, but ONE: you have a bunch of people who want to,and get to talk "s*it" without ANY accountability, and TWO: although you personally may not talk bad about anyone without a reason, there are, Im sure alot of people who will. Again, please dont read anything into my response here, Im not defending or standing up for anything, or anyone...neither am I saying that the people that have gripes with Tiny dont actually have them. Im just thinking that in the end, its all just alot of talk around a campfire.
It's great you 've got this love relationship with Tiny. My intent wasn't to slam him. I thought by sharing this story I could save someone else from a deal that could result in the same situation. It's pretty funny how I was unable to notify him for a year because all of his phone numbers have been disconected and all Emails have been unanswered. Now, I've got guys sending me personal messages saying here's Tiny's email he just lost your info. Well guess what, it's the same email address I ve been attempting to get a hold of him for a year!!! Now with that said, I'm sure the pack is all fired up and I'll get to hear about my punctuation. If anything, you should feel sorry for the ****er who is out 2900 and not preaching an english lesson. This isn't BS around the campfire. This is a factual account that can possibly help some make a better decsion and my accountability is that Tiny knows that everything I said is true and if you are in contact with him just ask him. I know this is an old thread, and i dont have a large post count BUT i do live within 50 miles of Tiny. The stories are true, he has ripped off about every person here, he has dozens of peoples cars, messed up frames horribly, owes people money and ignores those that still try to get there justice. And when i say that he has done wrong to those here, i mean the most outstanding people around. tiny doesnt every show up to local shows, he just couldnt not run into someone he owes.
Just an update still no body and still no calls. I find it NOT funny that he CANT call a dude he owes but still contributes to Rod & Kuture mag. One Day a real rain will come and wash all the s*** off the streets. I love that line. any how, I know you dont know me but I have been way to kool about this. 2 years later... Update If you see this guy or any of his tagalongs... RUN! This guy is the biggest POSER, HACK and wannabe. I cannot believe this guy still floats around in magazine articles. He screwed 1/2 of his "club" members by stealing, etc, etc. 12 years ago he was strolling around with a 1/2 a head of hair, in a neon streetrod t-shirt, blue jean shorts and burkenstocks.
