Me and two other guys from the east side of Houston. We are flying out Friday. It's been 3 years since the last time I was at the roadster show.

Everyone should try Mama Pertrillo's for Italian at it's best. Everything.. pizza, pasta, chicken etc.. The tomato and cucumber salad (WAY better than it may sound) is to die for. Every year I go I get a case of their italian salad dressing to take home. Mama Mia!!

Opps! Sooory. It's just off Foothill Blvd., northwest of the fairgrounds about a mile. Hidden in a strip mall but worth the search. Not really that hard to find.

Is there anything happening tuesday wednesday or thursday night in the area...Thanks

  13. Peggy Sue & I should be there. Hey Chili Phil what time for breakfast? Gonna try the dunkin & anti donut thing first if they are still going then head up to the roadster show. B-O-B

  14. B O B, I think it'll be late AM Friday (rush hour sucks) and early AM Sat at El Merendero. I MIGHT make the Huntington Beach Anti-Donut. Depends on my Olds...

  15. If you don't want to fight the crowds at El Merendero and want a damn good breakfast burrito or other vittles, try Gene's Grinders on Wright St off of Fairplex. It's off of the back side of the track just a stones throw from El Merendero. I eat there a couple of days a week and you can always find NHRA personnel in there as well as local rodders. Try it, you'll like it!

  16. Dug are you getting any other takers for the drive down? What about gearheadbill from Snohomish? Monday morning bright and early. First stop Grants Pass Oregon.

For anyone coming into town for a few days for the roadster show...you may want to check out the F-100 Western Nationals on the next Saturday, June 21st, at Featherly Park. On the Friday before the show there is always a run at the beach, last year we toured John Force's place which was pretty cool.

Sorry , gearheadbill is driving my truck down with a friend of ours from Wenatchee on Wednesday am - and if I'm lucky they might even be nice enuf to pick me up at the airport in Ontario Thursday afternoon, as I need to stay home for my favorite nieces (whom I might add wishes she was going too - but will have to wait for Billetproof NW) high school graduation Wenesday night. We plan on picking up a bunch of stuff at the swapmeet from Jim A's So Cal and Brookeville while we are there.

Or you can just go to the original one just called Petrillo's. Its on Alosta, west of Grand in Glendora. One in San Gabriel too, been there since '54.
I refuse to go to the knock-off place.
