Anybody on this page that doesn't know what a gow job is needs to look somewheres else.

    But:

My last name is McGowan, so that adds a little extra meaning to the term.

No, I don't spray paint graffiti!!
My 'name' comes from one of my sicknesses - collecting license plates or 'tags' as they are called (about 3000 of 'em). When the antiquers could begin licensing their cars with the vintage plates, I began selling them at swap meets and people refered others to me, telling them to see the "TagMan".

A nick name given to me in 7th grade by my PE coach. He would give everyone in his class a name and just said I look like a -HAM-, alos goes along with my last name...MarkHAM...!Been going by that name for the past 19 year! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

My name is Scott, so Scotch is a logical nickname, and also my beverage of choice. Black Label, please...on ice.

link-short for Licoln a name givin to me about 15 or so years ago due to the fact that I always drove old Lincolns (60-68). It just sort of evolved into my bar scene alter ego and the name "Link" stuck.

Well, I own a Model A Coupe. Most of one anyway, and I just figured...

Edit 4/8/05- since this post came up again, during the Great Name Change of 2004, I decided to change my name and not be so obvious. General Gow is sort of a play on my favorite Chinese Food Dish (General Gao's Chicken), and Gow Job, which is well, you ought to know.

  12. My dad started racing at the lakes in 1939, he was in a club in high school called the Detonators. He got me into this by buying me a roadster when I was 15. Been doing it ever since. I lost him a couple of years back, the name's in his honor.

I'm not cool enough to have a nickname... [IMG] all the "Steve" variations were already taken, and it was too damn early in the morning to come up with something witty... besides my name and my car... Hence "StevesGalaxie"... But I rule the Galaxie, dammit! [IMG]

Prime Mover: I never made that connection, and I call myself a Rush fan! I've used variations of "Syrinx", "Snowdog" and "Cynical Idealist" on other internet groups.

Why Kinky6? Well, its a matter of degree, really. As in, "what's the difference between sexy and kinky?"

Sexy is using a single feather.

Kinky is using the entire chicken!

    Later, ya'll. [IMG]

Well, my name's Ernie & I like flatheads...not very original, but oh well. I used it on a couple other forums and figured it'd be easier to keep 'em all the same - path of least resistance and all that...

CHEATER CARL thinks I chose my name after a black ex-wrestler... nope.

I chose it after the dog in American Graffiti.
Not "Ol' Ginger", but the one in the yard where Milner took Macenzi Philips. The dog let him climb right over the fence. Good dog, man...
My '32 is built from junkyard parts, and I spend alot of time checking out junkyards...

    It just fits...
JUNKYARD TEDDYBEAR and JUNKYARD HUMMINGBIRD just didn't...

Well...I didn't want one that went something like "Cool32FordLoverDude" or "AskMeBoutMyHupmobile", so I figured it oughtta say something about ME!

"Fat Hack" is short, catchy and utterly descriptive...and easier to digest than "Rotund Saw-N-Hammer Master"!!
