Who has pics of their cars before they even bought them or sitting where and how they were when purchased? Let's have some fun and laughs
These have been posted before. 1979, just after it was built by a friend of mine... Fast forward to Feb, 2008. The car had been in storage since 1988... May, 2008. Tires, brakes, and starter have been replaced and now I'm enjoying it. The guy in the grey shirt is the friend who built it, and the GTX beside it, 30 years ago...
The guy I bought the car from gave me a few pictures from when he had the car, he owned it since 1966. Dig the wire wheels ! Late 70's ?
heres my truck in North Dakota where it was a wholesale auto parts truck { some dumb *** wiped the lettering off the doors and the best part was the phone number { phone 69} !!!!!! this picture is almost how it looks now but hiding indoors waiting its turn Jerry
I guess I should of posted a before and after also... Mine is no where near done so it didn't hit me... I guess I can put up the cab... you'll get an idea. Chopped and extended.
here he is in all his rancid POS glory this is the day i dragged him home sitting on the most hideious frame Gm ever made an S10 the truck currently has a 454 BBC with a turbo 350 .. i had planned on repairing the fenders and running boards but they were actually so rottin they tore into pieces when i unbolted them from the truck ..but what the hell you can only **** with the **** you got! this is how my pile O **** sits today , i have not made a lot of progress ,but i am gathering parts , i have a set of shorty hugger headers coming my way that i have purchased from a fellow HAMBr as i plan on removing this gawd awful set of headers and putting the fenders and running boards back on to cover this fugly frame. at this time i still need the chin of the lower grill shell and a new grill if this one cannot be repaired, its stainless and far beyond my capibilitys.. hopefully sometime down the road i hope to paint the damn thing but im crossed between a suede or green with flake and toss on some wide whites , but thats a little far off at the moment.. and for the time being it will remain a painfull eyesore
