WTF is up with EELCO and their "vendors"? I am dying to give them some of my money but there is no online ordering direct from Eelco and all of the websites of the vendors listed on their vendor list ****!

How do people succeed in e-commerce with such **** websites? I can only order so much stuff from speedy bill and jegs before I need specialized stuff from vendors who make quality stuff but make it hard to get.

Is it too hard to ask for a good e-commerce website? I have tried to call eelco for weeks and nobody answers the phone or replies to e-mails.

If anyone is listening I have money...I want to give it to you in exchange for some of your wares...wake up please!! I love eelco's stuff but it is just HARD TO GET!!

  2. Do a search, Marty at Eelco ****s.

I bought some stuff from an ebay vendor but I cant find the rest of the stuff I need on one convenient place other than on the eelco website. I need their tri power kit minus the linkage and throttle shafts (bought on ebay already). I need all the little plugs and fittings and **** like that but that stuff is a pin in the *** to piece together.

right now their customer service is becoming less and less of an issue because I just need parts to finish my intake!

it sounds to me like you are in a situation where customer service would be of the utmost importance.

I would definitely deal with a dealer and not directly with Marty. Let them have the head aches. It took nearly a year to get my nailhead bellhousing and flywheel (after I had paid for it). The flywheel came with the ring gear on the wrong side.

I would love to get stuff from their vendors but as I stated originally...their websites are a JOKE. They are confusing and non of them have easy to use online ordering...if I could find these parts without going straight to the manufacturer I would.

show me one of these vendors websites where I can go and order

minus the linkage and throttle shafts.

I tried and the websites just plain ****.

Looks like you may have to get on the Phone and call them or just give up on Eelco and buy a complete set-up elsewhere.

    Reading is FUNdamental.

I would love to buy a complete set somewhere else but it seems everyone else wants to sell a kit with carb bases which I do not need....if you have any suggestions I am open to your help for alternatives.

Call Rick Shelton at gas alley street rods 913-244 0112. he helped me out with my eelco linkage. He gave them a call, and they sent it out directly to me within a week. Rick rebuilds strombergs, and has been a big help for me. Hope this works for ya.

What does Eelco make that you can't get somewhere else?

Take their web site, and HAMB reputation,as good reason to look elsewhere.

I got mine from Speedway, not yet fired the engine but seems to work well once you adjusted it up.

i dont see anything in that kit that other folks dont sell.

who cares about web sites - not everyone is into e-commerce, there are a lot of good builders/suppliers out there not really interested in it - they prefer doing business over the phone or face-face. Just because someone has a good web-site does not mean they are good at what they do, its often something to hide behind as you are finding out. even if someone has a good web site i only use it go get parts nos etc from then call them, if they dont answer I go elsewhere because for me its an indication of what their service is like.

i just looked at their supplier list and ive used at least 5 of the companies listed and had excellent service, always had parts out within 2 days. as for how good their web sites are... michael from the hotrod company has a good site, so does sacramento ford, so does hemi hotheads. why dont you try picking up the phone to some of these guys and speak to them.

call someone like jere jobe who does excellent work - http://www.vintagecarburetiontech.com/ here is his web site but dont expect to be able to order anything from it.
