Can't we all just get along?
Time to close this "bash anybody that doesn't like what I like" thread.
    WTF?
How about just saying I don't like anybody who thinks his **** is better than anyone else'?
I know Vette guys that are damn good people and "Rodders" who can kiss my ***.
It ain't the breed of car you drive, it's the breed doin' the drivin'>
    Geeeeeezussssss!

I have no idea and don't really care enough actually to even google to try to figure it out. I am so far gone from caring about the new Corvettes. But in a way, still being American and knowing the cool start these cars had, I hope it is some aftermarket kit **** or something and not the next Corvette. To me it looks like a combo of a Jag. and an old Camaro with come bad Ferrari details. Lord I hope that is some kind of joke and not the next one. If it is, man, that will be even more sad than it already is. That has got to be some kit ****, has to be, please let it be.

It seems to be a Callaway display. Hopefully this is just the best they could do with current piece of **** they have to work with. I am sure it has hp and it might even be made pretty well, but who really gives a ****, it's nothing to special to look at by any means.

I have to agree that the Viper guys are the worst, or at least worse than vette guy. I usually carry about a half dozen copies of this along to a car show, and place them under the appropriate windhield wipers........

  7. funny stuff guys... :D

it's people that own these type of vettes that i loathe the most...

we recently "fixed" (i.e. rebuilt the entire cooling system) an original 70 BB car here at work that was similar looking... talk about a cobbled up p.o.s. the owner... yeah... he was quite "interesting" as well.

    Just imagine...
Somewhere in Italy, there's a bunch of guys who like to tool around in old fiat's and their having this same discussion about those "Ferrari guys" :D

  9. Thats why i will never enter a car in a car show. I could care less about cheap trophies and anyones opinions. I have my vehicles for my own enjoyment. Lot of folks like to try to build themselves or their cars up by putting someone or something else down. By the way i would like to own a 58 thru 62 vette someday. OldWolf:D

"Vette Guy" is too broad. What about the "honest" and "wholesome" guy who owns one of these?

Ok, My coworkers think I am going nuts sitting over here and laughing like crazy.

Lux Blues's post was cl***ic. Glad I wasn't holding fresh coffee when I read that.

It's pretty entertaining to go to an "one brand/model" show without your car or car shirt and observe the climate and culture.
The pecking order of the special edition group and the great discussions on proper location and style of hose clamps and the proper chalk marks on the firewall. Years ago I heard a great discussion on the proper installation and clipping and bending of cotter keys in the steering and suspension on Corvettes.
I used to somewhat know a gal here in the Yakima valley of Wa who drove a jet black C-4 Vette that she put studded snow tires on in the winter because it was her only car. She drove it every day in every kind of weather and sometimes it was dirty enough that you couldn't tell the color but I know for sure she got a lot more enjoyment out of her car than another local guy who won't take his same year model out of the garage if there is a cloud in the sky. She put more miles on her car in one year than he has on his in the past 15.

Still most Vett Guys can't top the guy who was driving this Cobra kit car.
He pulled into the same gas station that I frequent and was a bit huffy when I asked who made the kit after complimenting him on the car and while taking the photo. He probably felt he was a bit too good to talk to the common folk.

***le of photo should be: Vehicle owner will give lessons on how to be full of yourself. Discount if you wear distinctive one brand polo or windbreaker.

Wow. H.O. Pontiac Guy really hates Vette Guy. I'm good for some ribbing, but shooting at Vette guy is uncalled for, and honestly, quite rude.

Vette guy is mostly Harmless. No need for violence.

truth be told...I want one. shhhhhhh.

My wifes boss thought he would get a Vette. His kids, who are grammar school age told him that Vettes were for old guys.

There's a Vette and Cl***ic car show in my area. I noticed all the Cl***ic guys are cleaning their rides. The Vette crowd, the wives are cleaning their rides. Maybe theres somethings to Vette..........

In 83', I built a mini truck for my Dad. 350/350 with a 9". I took it to work. When I was leaving, there was a new Vette in front of me, getting on the freeway. When the Vette hit the on ramp, he punched it. At the bottom of the ramp, he looks in his mirror and does a double take, I'm on his bumper. I pull out and p*** him........:D

Most Vette guy's are not "Car Guy's, just guys with good credit gold chains and big mouths. A late model vette is a driver and I will not look at them in a car show.

Whoa! I know that guy! Except you left out the corduroy Vette hat, the random-car-show wind-breaker with the words "Summer" and "Cruise" and "Oldies" on the back, the Bi-Mart "Rustlers", the track shoes, the "Heartbeat" license plate, one of those "crying dolls", etc., etc., etc. *shiver*

But yes "Vette Guy" is related to "Truck Guy", "Old-Skool Guy", "Scooter Guy", etc. The above rant could be said (with modifications) to just about any hobby/interest.

Things also found out about Corvette Buy from working at a GM dealership. They were the only Sports Car ever made. They are first in line for oil changes. They should never have any mechanical troubles at all because GM puts extra care in building them. If they should have a mechanical problem, the world is going to come to an end and they should be first in line to have there car looked at. This should not be confused with Cadillac guy. Has most the same cases but also one extra is Cadillac Guy can tell you to the penny what they payed for the car. This is proceeded with "For what GM charges you for this car it shouldn't ever have any problems!!"

I have owned several old Vette's. I have also owned 40 or 50 30-50's cars and I don't have a "Corvette" at***ude but I have come across the people who do. My last was this 61:

    Gee,

    Love this thread.

Besides owning Hot Rods, and also as a owner of a Corvette.......
( Yea your very own Cl***ifieds Moderator Cob )
I 've made funny observations too.....

And that is most guys that think the Corvette guys have a at***ude are momma's boys.

See , I like 4 wheels / noise / and the smell of burning rubber and it doesn't matter what car it comes from.

But like you said - nothing to get over.......

    BWHHAAAAAA

    Hugs and kisses.
