i have a '53 chevy truck. the gas tank sits behind the bench seat and there is a leak where the breather tube gos into the tank. it is a weld and there is no gasket involved. anyone know of a liquid seal - almost like a jb weld type of product - that i can put on this to stop the leak ? i want to avoid pulling the tank out and fixing it or possibly replacing it. thanks.

Being from Missouri, I am aware of a hillbilly remedy that will not involve removal of the existing tank. Remove the gas tank from the 1971 ford maverick in the back yard (or whatever car happens to be there) and strap it to the bed of your truck. Route necessary fuel lines and VOILA.:D

somewhere I have a pic of my 69 el Camino with a 67 impala fuel tank bolted to the bed, so let me know if you need a visual aid

    Nice first post, BTW
