steering wheel will it work

does anybody know if a 46-48 ford car wheel will fit 52 ford f1 column thanks

 

from what i understand after 48 ford went to the smaller spline ???? if it won't work any ideas >>>>

 

The Ford p***ing cars might have a smaller diameter spline but the Ford trucks have the same as the 48. I have a 52 F-1 basically almost original stock and it has an earlier pre-49 Ford p***enger car steering wheel on it.
