Will a 57 4 door front seat fit in a 55 chevy 2 door post. Direct bolt in? Seat tracks available? Price?
It should fit but you won't be able to reach the back seat area, aka the area that the back seat would have been in. Makes it kinda of hard to stash your stuff to take on a road trip back there.
Post a Wanted add on Craigslist for a seat.I got mine that way...Split bench great condition original upolstry 100 bucks with tracks and seat molding...It was sitting in a barn for 35 years....I posted one for a rear seat awhile ago and still getting responces for front seats.......split bench if someone knows the price they really go for ,is about 400 -600 depending on condition....4 door seat....150-250........ If your in no rush I post an add add over here too and try to find another one...I dont know how the fuck we could get it too you.... I work for fedex so I probably could get a deal on shipping. But I have no friggin idea how much it would be,those seats are heavy as fuck and big so im sure its not cheap 57 wont fit in a 55 by the way....only 55-56....
Yes, bolt right in, but the back does'nt tilt forward as others have said. My 56 Sedan Delivery has a seat from a 63 Chevrolet Biscayne 4 dr sedan and it looks good and my wife does'nt like buckets, she can't sit next to me. The seat was'nt a complete bolt in, but it's close.
That's what I was going to post. We used to take the interiors out of 62-64 Chevies (when they were nearly new) and put them into 55-7 Chevies all day long. They bolted right up and looked good.
