Had a chance to get an old 52-53 tudor once, but it was pretty well gone. Just thinking about it the other day and wondering... I'd like to see any Aeros, gasser or custom, that anyone may have (or old photos) Can't wat to see 'em!
Should be an old thread on these that I started after I picked one up a while back. You might try a search -
Have a strictly original 53 Willys Aero Eagle. Took it on the 04 66 fun run. Ran great, lots of thumbs up.
I have a 54 Aero Lark 2 Door Sedan. Actually it is a factory re-serialed 53 but sold and registered as a 54. It has a solid windshield and 54 taillights. I bought it original but have taken it down to bare bones. I have a little over 1800 hours in it at present. I have a built-up crate 350, BW T10 4 Speed and a 10 bolt rear end in it. It is ready for paint, then reassembly. I love the old Willys'. Don't just see them anywhere. Send me an email at dosswallace@bellsouth.net and I will send you some photos. I really like yours. Nice car.
There was an Aero Coupe at Good Guys Scottsdale in 2006 that was an original car and unmolested that went for $6500.. I hemmed and hawed about buying went out the next day and it was sold.. Such a neat styled car that you never see.. Check Hemmings and ebay.. Half the fun is the search.. Good luck!
I am allways looking for one but the ones I like our out of my price range. I might have a couple pics, I will look for them.
I have a 52 aero that my son and myself are putting together. We are using a 394 for power, 4.11 olds rear and it has 3 pedals. I'll try to get my son to post some pictures as I don't have a clue how to. The olds has 3 deuces, solid engle cam, forged pisons and we are in the process of cleaning up the heads. The stock suspension and uni body are being retained although we had to do some beefing as these cars are very flimsy.
I sure need to find someone that makes fiberglass front end parts for these cars if anyone has any idea who might... pm me..
that is looking good, the floor is a real deal to work around it. i cut mine completely out , I like your set up on your , keep it u-p
Really love those Oddballs. Maybe i will get me a Hardtop one when i got the old Ford up and running again. Found this just now. So it's a little bit to updated, but what the hell
Well shoot. I had a '52 in 1959, traded it in on a new '59 Chivvy. Green. Trying to find pictures. I decked it, was getting ready to shave when I got the new car bug. Sad day indeed, I'd have been better off keeping the Willys.
Heres a Willys sitting at a repair shop here. Its been here for a while. I guess no one wants it. Its missing the front bumper
