Hi guys , just looking for your thoughts here. This guy says this is real, build by Henry Ford. Yet he only wants $11k. I would think its a deal, ready to drive mostly stock. What are your thoughts?
I think that if it's the real deal, scoop it up and leave it if you can. That car would be just cool to drive as is.
it would be an ok deal if you plan on leaving it stock and just use it as is. if you plan to make a hot rod out of it , i would look for a cheaper project with a nice body and doesn't run
Thanks guys, its seems out here in calif. if you just say"hot rod" it cost money. I have seen piles of rust that people want more than this for.
A couple of thoughts..............I live in California also, although a little North. $11k doesn't sound bad, if it is as nice as the photos.......restored or not. Mostly stock................well, a 59 series Flatty with 39 trans, 40 juice brakes, maybe a dropped axle and different tires/or not.............would make a perfect little street rod and at probably half the price to build one from a rusted out junker somebody wants $5k for. You can make this a hot rod without destroying anything, and it would be very easy to put back to stock condition if you wanted to. I agree with PanheadPete, if you don't buy this PM me after you PM PanheadPete, with his name and phone number.
Stock model A's do not bring a ton of money. I think 11 sounds decent, but I don't think it's the deal of the century.
This isn't one of those copies that Ford made in the 70s or 80s is it? I can't think of the name of those...
Model A's price wise, are starting to go up, and nice ones are worth a little more. Can buy this Model A for $10/11k or the boat for $10k..................which would you choose?
I paid 8k for the attached ,very clean runs great ,I am going to Hot Rod 50 syle 40 brakes drop axel 4 banger flathead with old speed equipment, cant handle 350 350 350
A 10,000 dollar 392 that comes with a boat? Not that good of a deal for me to jump on. Now a 11,000 dollar 392 that comes with a model A coupe, now thats a winner!!
11k is steep to me... **** the prices are falling as everything else goes up! decent rods can be had for $15k... sometimes less... ive seen decent stockers sell for about 7-9k in similar condition... i would p*** but that boat on the other hand is BAD ***, im not a boat guy, but id get on a lake in that thing in a second!
I belong to the Model A Ford Club of America so I could meet some cool old vets and maybe get lucky on some parts...fully restored coupes dont get much over 13K.... and as for rarity...there are like 200,000 registered and running Model A's in America. CUT IT UP.
