i throw the milltown show last year had over 400 traditional rodz n kustoms about 100 bikes..this year 14 bands from rockabilly physcobilly garagew n surf...aug 1st n 2nd.....myspace.com/milltownrodz for more info...

 

wow didnt no thear was that much goin between the shows .im lance im the sole organizer n promoter of milltown...i pour a years effort into milltown.i have to its just me from wear sanicans r goin, band hirein, sighns ,adv ect ect ect..oah and a dozen homeade awards...its about a meating of people with commen interest.i myself love low buck rodz n kustoms great tunes and non up***e folks that wana come out show thear rod bike kustom?not pay a fortune at the gate .most gate goes to the bands n help of the day...im not lookin to make a ton...not what its about to me...i come from an area wear muscle cars ruled ...to c what went on in peoples gages after milltown 07 makes me very physked i tell ya ...tradits a plenty....my show opened alot of peoples eyes on the roots of hot rodds in my area....lotsa suprises for this year i tell ya....carry on folks......myspace.com/milltownrodz/./.......

 

sorry dont forget about our free show may 17th at ralphs diner in worcester..open to pre 64 rodz kustoms n bikes.....free entery free vend spots r limited tho...even 5 local bands for free....all to give sumptin back to gr***root enthusiasts......100percentkulture 4 more info.....add is in this issue of olskool rodz on the stands now..as is last years article on milltown 07.....thanx

 

Lance- your show is on my website- Ill promote as much as youd like me to- just like ANY other show that someone asks us to...
I just wish we could do both- Ive been a friend of Rick's for years and since this is his first year- he asked me to help tell people about it.
Too bad we couldnt get somehting going to help BOTH shows be a success.

Lance Why dont you create your own post about your show and please stop bogarting this one- EVERYONE knows about your show in the area give a chance to let this show have their own posting.THis is bad KARMA man....

Its different crowds anyway...relax- they will BOTH do well.

I have known Ricky for many years. He has put his heart into having a great event for car guys. It would be great to see lots of support for this first time venture. Check out his website for all the info.

 

Let me make something PERFECTLY clear- I didnt step on anything. Lance's show was ONE DAY last year - no mention of moving it to more than one day -anywhere public where another show promoter could know about it.And there are plenty of other one day shows that weekend- Yet no one is bashing them in any way. Only a show that someone created with their own vision of what a quality event could be. NOt asking Lance to back off - just suggesting that he stop stealing a thread about ANOTHER show and use his own to promote the hell out of his show. Make sense

And as you can see by your post, 'good music, beer and girls' - thats NOT what Rick's show is about- its about seeing cool cars and having fun with other people. More family based.I couldnt bring my 10 year old to the Milltown show - its just not the right place for him.

Im not running the Rod & Custom Nats- just helping to promote it for a friend- which if you had any idea on what I was all about- you would realize Id do that for ANYONE who asked.And YES, Lance has asked and I put his show on my website for all to see.

Rick Finamore is a super guy- and completely dedicated to the hobby now for over 30 years. He donates a hell of a lot of time to many of the shows we all attend, to help judge (when they are judged shows) and has built many a vehicle as well.

He is someone in this hobby I can even say is considered an icon (?), because he has given most of his free time to keeping this hobby alive.Thats more than I can say for many people out there who have cool rides. People need to stop the **** . Both guys are good guys.

Hopefully, people will attend whichever show suits them best and EVERYONE will have a good time doing so
No more bashing, no more 'us' and 'them'. Lets get back to the roots of -'our hobby' .'Nuff said.

Hey guys! Im new here. BUT Rick is an extremely close friend of mine... Have no clue who Lance is and dont care either.....Not lookin to disrespect any one either.....
Rick has poured his heart out into this just as much as anyone...Just because a person has a few bucks of his own into it doesn't mean there's no heart......Trust me he has heart in this...No one looking to make big bucks, just looking to put on a good time that everyone will enjoy, nothing more here , than there at the other show....

Lance is doing his best to fill the void left by the Road Agents show. I think all the traditional guys should throw their support his way. If you're into muscle cars, tuners or street rods head to Marlboro. I'm a traditional guy. I'll be in Palmer. No disrespect to the Marlboro show or its promotor. It's just not my bag. Different strokes for different folks. Pick whichever show blows your skirt up! Hey, Lance, you should wet down the infield this year.
