Frustration...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RacerRick, Jun 9, 2008.

  1. When the cars are done, and you can drive them, they are great sources of relaxation, but who finds that when building them?

I get frustrated as hell when I can't go out to the garage and putter on a project car that I like.

I am trying to finish a non-hamb friendly car that just has been a fight the entire time so I can get rid of it. I am borrowing a friends shop to do it that is an hour away since the city is making me get my garage half rebuilt due to some some bylaws they enacted then made them retroactive. Travel time is now 1 hr vs 1 minute previously.

What does everyone do for frustration when the car is unavailable.

Sounds like you have a case of the auto mechanics blue balls.

Unfortunately, the only fix is getting your hands on the some wrenches and getting a piece. Surf the internet for auto **** in the mean time to hold you off some.

I think the answer is clearly obvious. It's not a Hamb friendly car, therefore that makes you angry. Play around more with cars you like instead. Life's too short to waste time on rubbermaid vehicles, :D.

I know what you mean. Yep. I do the internet, forums, pics, build threads especially. But get bored at that. Wait for email messages from people, come all too seldom! But go to garage, I'm in heaven! Sometimes I don't have anything I can do, so just sit and think, and plan, and dream! When I can get parts and stuff----Oh Man! Keep up the chin! Perley

Sometimes I look forward to not having HAMB-friendly cars in my yard so I can relax and landscape or something.

    Garage........what's a garage.
Be grateful that you have one of those to work in, even if it is 1 hour away.
You're rebuilding yours and still have a backup shop to use.
My last 2 cars have been built it the driveway ( at least it's paved ) and the backyard.
Rain, snow, extremely hot weather or cold and I'm done.
Take a minute next time you drive to the shop, relax, look around you and be glad you have the opportunity to use one.
A lot of us totally without one are a lot more frustrated.
