The Tin Butchers would like to thank everyone for making our 2nd annual "S**** Drive" show/swapmeet a success. We really appreciate everyone who attended, especially with the questionable weather we had all day. ...thanks to the all the cars that came out, the swapmeet vendors, spectators, 3D Sound DJ service, the band, 24 Elsinore and a special thanks to the food vendors who all did a great job and to all the volunteers who helped out with our show. We really appreciate it. ....we hope everyone had a good time and we'll see you next year. ...we appreciate any feedback you mite have concerning our show. Thanks again...hope you all have a great summer.
Thanks butchers...it was a blast. thought i left early enough to miss the rain....no, got stuck in it, made it to Gus's in East Troy and spent 4 hours there BS'ing with the other guys that made it out there in the rain. Excellent day, got soaked, and am looking forward till next year
I took three "weather breaks" on my way back home. I wound up on WI 78 after dropping off Max Gearhead...no road to be on at nite... in the rain... pulling a 3000 lb trailer.... during a flood. Just before Portage the road was underwater and under the water were large rocks that came down the hill next to the hwy...some must have been 10" in diameter. Of course didn't see 'em until I ran over 'em...
Had a great time! Thanks for lettin the Krusty Kraut wagen in. Glad you made it back Mark. Randy and I did some puddle jumping ourselves. Warning, it's a VW. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1K1DDoNqCS0
I did good selling at the swap meet and I do appreciate the reasonable swap space fee. A really good selection of cars and various car building styles on display. Good music. Friendly and helpful members of the Tin Butchers. A good event. Glad I went and I will return next year. Congratulations and continued success. Thanks Tin Butchers.
...my pics didn't come out too great for some reason and I didn't get that many, but here's one of my favorites...when Lumpy drove this in with the green headlites on, it looked awesome. Nice Willys! ...hope someone else got some good pics to p*** along. Thanks for the nice comments guys.
nice! ive always loved that coupe! imma have to make him come to our show the week before yours, so i can catch a ride in it!!!
We had a ton of fun again this year. Thank you so much. We rode the Harleys (Both mine and my dad's hot rods are works in progress) made it all the way from DeKalb to the I-90 overp*** before the skies opened up and we got soaked. It turned out to be great weather for the rest of the day and we didn't get blown off the road on the way home either. Also thanks to Rich for taking me the time to show me his '28 Coach turned pickup. It gave me some good inspiration for frame building next month. Now I've got two bikes I need to wash because my brother rode my shovelhead!
Valkokir,...you guys are truly diehards!,...thanks for ridin out again this year. Here's a pic of Rich's 28 Chevy "truck" you're talkin about; it's a cool jalopy.
That's the one! I complimented him on his testicular for***ude for riding around on those split rims and mechanical brakes. Compared to that, riding in the rain is easy. Unfortunately my fiber friction discs on my steering damper and rocker clutch pedal swelled up in the water enough to make my life interesting. I've got enough pictures of his truck to be used as evidence against me in the stalking case and most importantly drop my suspension to get rid of the 4x4 buggy look.
Thanks for a cool show and the great folks there. Met a few HAMBers and Hoarders ,with the crazy weather in the area some sweet cars. So did anyone get a picture of the real 32 roadster?
Thanks for the ride down Jeff. I thought you might be in trouble with the rain when you left. Hopefully Guss' treated you well.
