just keep going with what you've got, you have all the right ingredients for a traditional hotrod. Great work!

  9. Besides a big ol MEL engine, I really love a Caddy. They are just something else. And that's a purty one.

Looks to me like you are on the right track. Are there any specific things you want an opinion on? I have lots of opinions....right, wrong and otherwise.

Very nice ! Where did you find a flywheel for a 390 ?

  18. Great recipe for an awesome car. Since you're inviting opinions I have two suggestions. Rethinking the brookville firewall and radial tires will make all the diffrence between a perfect, era correct, car and one where details have been overlooked...

Oh, and I suggest that you do not listen to me, I would have effed that car up by now.

In the Bendsten's adapter "kit" they supply an adapter hub to bolt on the crank of the Cadillac turning it into a Chevy bolt pattern therefore a Chevy flywheel. My particular 365 Caddy to Muncie kit utilizes the larger 168 tooth Chevy flywheel. My kit was about $700...a bit pricey but it came with the adapter, crank adapter, pilot bushing, mini starter and all hardware. Basically everything except a Chevy flywheel and clutch/bellhousing.

Nice ingredients like everyone said, BUT

If you are over 50 years of age then the radials are fine, but younger than 50 loose the radials.

Yes, Bias ply tires on a light weight car like yours will handle well.

Like the guy above said: A few details missed on period car make it a tweener, brookville firewall acceptable?? maybe, but radials are definatley not period correct.
