Bad Bob, I'll look for your post! Your pic threads have not dissapointed in the past! Still kinda bummed out about this. Maybe I'll be over it by next years show. Rob
The show is $35 for Sat, $60 for Sat and Sun. Everybody who goes through the gate pays $35,and no charge for the car. Also, you can register at the gate. You need to tell them what time you want to leave, cause you will be parked in different areas depending on when you're leaving.
$35 dollars just to get in!!!!! I dont care where it is thats out of control! maybe its because they are running ads on local cable they have to pay for... I over heard out of traces mouth in Santa Maria if he were going to Model his show after one it would be Santa Maria, Well, it was only $20 bucks for a two day p***! Only good thing is you get $10 back if you get tattooed there, which i was planning on doing!!
Well me and my girl / friend got tickets for this already. I debated about not bringing the car since we are more going for the music / people watching. but Nameless got a tune-up yesterday. 4hrs, phew - ya "hardy-ha-ha" I am still on a learning curve. I LIKE checkin'/gapin' the plugs, changing the oil is what it is - but the points? annoying especially when they give me the wrong one's every time (going to get rid of the points after this trip). TIMING? dam still a bit of a smoke and mirrors bit but very fascinating. With that said, the car IS going to Long Beach from the Bay Area. If anyone else is going perhaps a caravan? Now the DEBATE: should I bother parking in the show since I can't sit and drink my whiskey on the tailgate even in a flask? (got busted at Santa Maria for my gl*** bottle/issue quickly resolved with the new flask). Figure if we want to leave and drive around if Ink and Iron isn't 'doing it' for us than may be better to leave the car at the hotel. PS. of course no drinking and driving either way folks.
