Hello all, have not posted in years, got the boot from the Army after 27 years, something about "high tenure". Oh well, their loss. More time in the shop now that I am back home for good. Need your opinions (this should be good) on my front window on my 39. The center is a cardboard mock up. The look I was after was industrial, airplaine or old big truck. I fear it may look like a dogs head, just add ears. If thats the case I will s**** the idea. What do you think?
I must agree, I like it ,too. An exposed rivet kind of attachment for the windshield might be nice....with restraint. ___MTG
Looks great. '40 converts and woodies had two separate windshield pieces (rather than a big opening with a chrome divider bar), and you've captured that look very nicely. I've never seen it done on a truck, and I think it's a GREAT idea. DO IT! P.S. the mockup is really well done. Painting the cardboard takes all the work out of imagining it done!
Wow I really like it. Deffiently thought of an airplain before I even read the post. I like the rivit idea to. Keep the killer Ideas coming.
Very provocative! Different! Semi-wild and maybe even cool. I say go for it __________________ "If it makes you feel cool than it is cool." Conan the Barbarian - 1033 AD
I'm liking what i'm seeing. Roadstar here on the HAMB built a '40 coupe a few years back with a convertible windshield frame that was killer. Gave almost the look your going for here. I say continue on. Frank
Bet you never expected such a positive response when asking for opinions here. Anyway my vote would also be go for it and Im also with Oilcan Harry paint it Silver
