Hi all, been skulkin around for some time now and thought it time to jump on board (if you'll have me that is ). I live in Canberra, Australia's capital city, and have been into rodding for most of my life, more seriously the last 12 years with the sloooowwwwww construction of a '23T bucket, not exactly a nostalgia piece, but anyway. Nearly finished now, thinkin of swappin wheels and tyres, and rocker covers for sumthin older. Also got a "55 Buick Special, imported to oz 6 years ago, converted to RHD, runnin a '70 vette 454, T400 and 9" rear, goes well. Also just startin to build a '30 roadster. Have heaps of bits the old man had "layin around" and will try and post some picks. Have learnt heaps of this site already and hope to learn some more. Welcome!! Question... Is it illegal to have a car without fenders in Australia? Most of the pix I see from Aus. have them, just curious... There were the 2 cars in the issue before last of TRJ that had 'em too...
Yes you are right about fenderless cars. The laws **** in OZ,which is one reason I moved.Americans don,t realize how easy they have it.I will never put fenders on my 32 roadster!!

Who the hell told you about this joint??? Here's another pic of Jimbob's Bucket. Can someone please Photoshop some chromies and whitewalls on it.
Welcome from an Australian Mexican. The buick looks great - even if it has a v thing in the engine bay Did you paint the bucket after watching "Running on Empty"??? LOL Glad to see that there are more aussies on the board - Maybe we can have a real "HAMB-NATS" get together somewhere. How many of us Aussies are there?? And yes Scoop, you can still be one too!!! come-on guys stand up and be counted.
Welcome Jimbob,I've seen the Buick before.Neat Ride. And yes fender laws ****, but there are ways around these things.
Welcome Jimbob. Like your "T" but, REALLY like your Buick. Also, I really liked Canberra the only time I visited for the Nats. The idea of "roundabouts" really has been maxed out there. I got dizzy just driving around them! Great place.
Welcome jimbob, I spent some time in your city, a few years ago. Nice place! Good lookin cars!........OLDBEET

Hi JIMBOB, That 'T' looks as solid as a tank. Very nice indeed. You must be the first and only Aussie with the name JIMBOB. I thought that name was only used in Hazzard County.
