I'm doing a quick repaint on my A roadster and came across some wild c.1974 paint. I'm just quickly blocking out the body and it looks like it was painted pink (!) with a blue panel job pinstriped in white. Sounds hideous but it may add more history to the car.

My question is, does anybody remember it? Car was supposedly built in the late 50's then continually updated over the years.

    Many thanks!

Hi Bobby. I'm just going to do a quick red paint and bias plys for Faiths movie. Maybe save the stripdown for the next time, I'm not sure I want to see the "pink" machine......

    You running on the 17th?

would have loved to see whats hidding under there...but ok..pink ?

  8. The pink and blue reminded my of a friend's obnoxiously ugly lowered mini truck from 1987..

your roadster looks way better red than pink and blue.

knowing the history is neat, but it could be scary as well.

Let's just say its Porky's old car...

I still need to get with you on all the stuff we talked about..

    Next meet. I'll be there.

the merc is pretty wild. It came from Nevada (just as it is, strange chop). now has all modern engine/trans, brakes, steering etc. I may just leave it as-is!

Nope, I buried it under the new paint! the little I saw was enough....

I'll leave that for the next repaint (after I'm dead).
