We talked to that guy, he mentioned the drive from Cali. with an open trailer. My hat is off to him for doing the drive in the rain.

    excellnt pics !!
i live an hour south of indy...and i could not get there at all over the entire weekend. if you think the area around the track was flooded out...you should see what it's like south of indy. 30 min south of indy, they got 11" of rain over a 3-4 hour period !!
    it's pretty bad.
i already had tickets and everything but all the roads to indy were closed.

I agree, I love Indy because it is litterally less than a half mile for me but I think Columbus is a better show.

    See you in Columbus.

That is hilarious! I know that guy and that makes it better.

He was a top fuel mechanic for Don Prudohme for a long time so I think he knows where the exhasut comes out. I will make sure he sees this. I am sure he will get a kick out of it!

No offense taken, and that guy has a good sense of humor. It is hard telling what he and his pop were discussing.

    Thanks for the laugh!

I would imagine that they were talking about what kind of idiot would build something as stupid as that. Ha ha ha

Thanks for the pics Kirk! Instead of ***embling models we decided to start drinking early at Culbertson's. It was a good time over there, Yancy was even giving burnout lessons!

You know, all of those pics make it look like I am really uncomfortable, but I have to say it ain't really that bad in there. The A/C keeps up fine. I find that no matter what car I drive daily or otherwise, I always lean my elbow on the center console and lean in a bit. This car isn't that different really. I do have to duck my head a bit though. That said, I wouldn't want to take it on a road trip though. ha ha ha

  22. Thanks for the photos KIRK!

Anyone know who owns this? Looks nice.

    Hey guys,
I lurk around here a lot, but I felt compelled to chime in today.
The Hot Rod of the Year winner this year is a friend of mine. He's thrashed on the car for a year and he does all of the work himself except the interior. He leaves that up to one of the other top guys around here by the name of Eddie Thralls.
I got to see the car during multiple stages and it's and awesome piece.
The owner is Cale Kern. Around here, he's one of the best. He grew up in the hobby and his Dad (Claude) has a traditional roadster that he built back in the 50's. He still takes to a lot of events.
I was glad to see him win after all of his hard work. It's good to see a local guy do good.
He's built a lot of nice cars over the years and this one might be the best one so far.

    Good Job Cale!

On a separate note, check out the headlamps if you see it at a show. They're HID hi beam and low beam. Real HID with ballast and all. If your interested, PM me. I don't want to take anything away from Cale's spotlight right now.
    :D

That Car belongs to Bill Kulboom from Burlington Iowa. It was built by Andy/Drew Didio from Sycamore, IL (abomber30) I believe there are build pics on the HAMB do a search for "Burlington Clipper" It was also at the Rust Revival.

His name is Bill Kullbom from Iowa. He is a super nice guy with a cool car.

All these great sedans popping up are making me want to take my car apart and start over.

If you need to get in touch with him Mrak send me an email and I will forward it t him.

Plowboy, you need a magnetic rainbow bumpersticker for when you're cruising with other dudes. Looks like it'd be a very tender moment

Simple, clean, cl***y, understated quality. Very well done IMHO.
