'53 or '54 Buick headlight bezels

Hi--Trying to get a handle on the difference between the '53 and '54 Buick headlight bezes. Which one had the more pronounced "egg" shape (more tapered at the bottom)?

53 bezels have a cross pattern and are smaller than the 54 bezels by about a half inch or so and the 54 pattern is more straight across. They are easy to tell apart. Most of the customs with them are usually 54 bezels. I think 54's are what your looking for as far as the "egg" shape is concerned.

 

53's are 1 1/4 inch shorter in height than a 54. Also, 53's are stainless and 54's pot metal.
