I've done a search on installing a "Top Shifter" on a "Toploader" Ford 3 speed 3.03 transmission and have only found 4 speed info using the Jeep shifter. Anyone know if this conversion is possible and what parts are required? Thanx in advance, Rocky

Jeeps also had a 3 speed with the top shifter. Conversion should be similar to the 4 speed setup. The T-150 was the 3 speed used 76-79, and the T-176, 177, and 178 were the 4 speeds used 80 to 86.

Check here: http://www.modelaonly.com/about_us. This guy is in Norcal and uses the Ford F-150 trans from a six cylinder, I think. Don't know what you're after, but this might be it.

Forgot to add.. If you're going to adapt to a Flathead, contact Gene Sanders, at M.E.C. He manufactures a really nice adapter for this application, or you can use a truck bellhousing.

I thought it was the trans that came in the CJ5. If that helps?

Toymaker, I ran a thread on this about two weeks ago under BorgWarner T-15 with Jeep Shifter. Lots of good info there.
