Yankee Dave's Roadster Stolen!!!

I just got a phone call that Yankee Dave's roadster has been stolen in central PA. I dont have a lot of details yet (it's 7:30 Sunday morning) but anyone that has been around hot rods in PA know Dave's car. There is supposed to be a photo of the car on the way to me, I'll post it what I get it.

 

Damn it all.

i met Dave in '94 at the lake, and he got DLRA #100 ahead of me.

look out for it every-one, no-one deserves to loose their hot rod in this way.

 

Damn... He's getting married soon and the car was supposed to be in the wedding. I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

the car is on a 32 frame, red flathead V8, bucket seats i think from an A sedan, duvall type windsheild, whitewall tires, outside headers with screen over them, toneau cover

i cant imagine anyone swiping a car like this...its all so identifyable!

DAMN! I can't believe that.

I hung out with Dave and Shaelyn for quite a while at the Jalopy Showdown.

I hope that car turns up ASAP.

PS: I'm looking around here for a photo of the car, but can't find anything.

 

Terrible news. Any idea how long it's been missing? I'm thinking it would be in an enclosed trailer or tarped if it's on the Inter-States. We're about six hours away if it's headed in this direction.

Sad to say but keep an eye on Epay in a few days. The parts may start showing up.

Original 32 roadster body, 59aba, Offy trips, three 97's, Mercury stock heads, Mallory dual point, 39 top loader/Zepher gears, 40 Ford dash, Chrysler banjo wheel, Model A seats, Duvall wind screen, 40 Ford wheels, 46 caps, wide whites... 39 Pontiac tail lights, nerf bars front and rear.

Possable taken with a wheel lift wrecker. More info coming... pics hopefully as well.

the body is not a 32 roadster....

its a conglomeration of parts, i believe 31 sport coupe quarters, and a 31 roadster cowl with different doors....
i wish i had a picture handy

its a 32 shell on the front and i believe a chevy hood
very recognizable car

if anyone has "hot rod deluxe" #2...the original one...i believe thats the issue that has an article on the car in it....

someone must have that handy and be able to scan it???

They should be hanged as horse thieves used to be. I hope to hear real soon that she's been recovered. Getting the word out early and to such a large audience as we have here, I hope will make that happen. I'll be watching out too of course, since I'm in the hot rod business.

Here in W.L.A. I just had all the additional metal for my jeep wagon build
Stolen doors tailgate hood F^%$in metal s****ers and they had to move the car to get it
I sympathize hope it’s recovered and SOON

 

This is very bad news, hope it is found!
