i grabbed these photos off of a few santa maria posts - apologies if you took these and i haven't credited you...having said that, anyone have more info on this modified? the rear seems to be sporting parallel leafs. maybe a little low for my eye, but nice proportion and looks be very well-finished car. build info?
Bowlin Brothers Iron... i think is the name of the shop. The owners name is derek he is from the valley.. Body is an early dodge like a 26 or 27 pretty sure.. he bulids some pretty cool REALLY low stuff.
That little bucket is bitchen. I'll bet you could spin the centers ou of those wheels with the OHV motor if ya tried.
The Owner and Builder is Derick Boling of Boling Brothers Early Iron from Tulare California (Central California-Valley). He has a new shop number that will be active next Wednesday (559-684-0641) I just got off the phone with him and he will be in Pamona this weekend, at the So-Cal open house and Roadster show. My cousin Ruben of Visalia pinstriped this car and a few others he's built. You can also see the build on Ruff Rodders dot com.
Here's the link to the build on Ruffrodders. http://www.ruffrodders.com/cgi-bin/ib/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=110;t=8360
it looks good but the back definatly need to come up a couple inches. I think that if a big guy like be got in that the back would definatly be dragging
I like low, but a reverse rake on a hot rod just makes it look broken. Other than that, it is a very, very cool car.
let me tell you that car sits level, not arse down as some of you might think. yesterday derrek and i went from pomona back to tulare in this car and the only time we came close to dragging frame is on a particularly mismatched piece of gas station ashphalt
i agree with the aussie....Derek is a cool dude who is kinda low key....he let's his work do the talking. Check out his builds on the "other" site. His floorboard work is super clean!! He has also built a couple bitchin' triumphs. DEREK get yer ass on the HAMB!!! another (customers car)(boling bros. chop-channel-frame from scratch-ect.)
Regardless of the reverse rake I love the car. And I am envious of the floorboard work. I hope someday my floors look as well as his.
Perception rules.......most folks will see the car as a dog with impacted glands. It IS sloping downward on bodylines.
im curious as to whether you have seen the car in person. the body sweeps down toward the rear i agree with you there but as for the rest, its right on. kid berzerker is that you jerrad?
