    :(
Fred Dudek, owner of the bitchen '40 Ford that won this years Detroit BilletProof, passed away this weekend of an aneurysm. I believe he was 52, as I went to his surprise 50th birthday party two years ago.... I think it was, maybe three.

He was an AWESOME hot rod guy, everyones friend. Not only did he have the very cool '40 that hes driven to the last few BilletProofs, but a just as cool '32 roadster that he drove the wheels off as well. Not sure how he found any time to work.

I just thought I'd pass the news along and when I find out about the services, I'll pass that along for those in the area.

It's very sad to think that I will never see him again behind the wheel of one of his hot rods or cop one of his wonderful hugs.

    Rest in Peace my friend

Wow that is tough to imagine. It is one thing to feel pain for a person you didn't ever know, and imagine how his family feels. Somehow it is even tougher to see ones creations(cars), as it makes you feel you somehow relate to & know this person even though you've never met. And you somehow feel the cars lost their parent......weird & kind of off topic

    Prayers to the family

OH CRAP! This is the first I've heard.

Fred was a true hot rodder to the core.

    Ugh!

Thanks Denise for letting us know. This kind of news makes us "older" rodders stop and think, about how many years we have left. At 63 I don't want to dwell on it, just recognize the fact and try and make the best of every day I have.
RIP fellow rodder, I wish I had had the pleasure of knowing you.

that is the bad thing about the anurisms, it is a sudden thing that allways catches everyone off guard. I know 2 people that had them. One lady made a full recovery, the guy was still out of it last I heard.

So sad. That really IS young. I guess it ain't how you die, it's all about how you live. Sounds like he lived well. Prayers to his friends and loved ones.

Man that is just not a fun thing to hear. I saw that 40 on the way to BP and was in lust. Saw it at the show and thought 'perfect.'

Nice job, thanks for sharing it with us even if we didn't get to meet you. RIP.
