I havn't really touched my car for a few months, been too busy. Tomarow I want to get some work done on it, but I'm stuck having to make side-mounts for the engine/trans. Here is the engine as it sits. Now, on the driver side I can re-drill the factory mount plate to mount to the adaptor using the trans-to-plate bolts. On the passenger side the SBC starter is completely in the way of any mounts going there. Do I need TWO side mounts, or if I reinforce the driver side one will it hold the torsional load? There are no other tapped holes on the passenger side that arn't being used. Other than these mounts I'm using the two factory front mounts, and a late model SBC style rear trans mount.
For some reason I cannot see the picture, but this said I don't think you can get enough stiffness out of a single mount as it will be subjected to loading in 2 different directions. PM me a picture and I let me take a look. Harry
