As I visit this site and other rodding sites while building my '39 Desoto, it's been kind of kool to see pics of what type of shop/garage (or shed) these rods are being built/transformed in. While I work out of a fairly big metal shop (shared with my brother-in-law's race "junk", and other various items that have loss their "Light of Day" appeal), I've noticed that it appears it's not the size of your shop that gets the job done, rather it's the size of your patience and drive (the stuff hanging on the walls in the background are always a sense of inspiration, too). When I get home tonight I'll put up a pic or two of mine (it's in the process of transforming from being geared toward drag racing, into a "No Rules" rod building shop, nothing glitzy, but I know where everythings at, the kind where you can walk thru it in the dark, and not trip on anything). That being said, I thought maybe it'd be kool to share what helps make a rod builder a "go to" rod builder. I also think it's kool to see one off kustum tools guys have made to get the job done, and/or tools they have that have been handed down over the generations. Feel free to put up a pic of your "laboratory", but I caution to keep it inside shots (versus landscape) only. I don't want this thread to be a shopping list for the "web s***".
There is a thread called "What's in Your Garage?" although it really has more to do with pics of your car inside your garage and not the tools you use to build it. You might want to stress the equipment in your ***le. I would add to the thread but garage is sad.
Well, these pics are just a few to show the complete lack of progress on my cars as well as the work bench that I built. It's been a couple months since these though so I am sure something got worked on.
