I,m guessing its Al O'Connor;Al's Gasser. He built a second "pop"after a wreck racing the !st.He.s a good old boy.very down to earth I give up driving my van when police were giving traffic bulletins about my slow moving vehicle In England theyre pops,in the states theyre Anglias,it gets way too complicated any other way You built your Anglia right hand drivepurrrrrrrs nice
I.ve read as well, the plants, the years, the continents, was just grasping it then I read they would use any left over bits on any of the models;times were hard and it was a basic runabout. That pretty much throws all the counters in the air.
Did you see it in the States? Many moons ago he took it across America bracket racing......he is a legend in his own underpants
Congrats on getting it going! What is the deal on that muffler? Steve? Enfo? As for the Anglia/Pop thing..........I consider them to be one of the most undersung automotive designs ever.
The muffler was perfect for my application (NO ROOM) so I was able to have a muffler and an X-pipe, anytime you can merge the exhaust there is power to be found!
I,m off again,to add more confusion, beacause hotrods have a '48 cut off,the pop went through to mid '54.but no hotrodder in the world is going to say theirs is a '52?They're all mysteriously '48.Likewise the van is a Thames, its law!!!
