Uhh Ohh! This guy seems to have "wide stance" !

Naw, seriously, great photos. Were all the first batch in one box? Somebody had a good eye for cars - that '35 roadster was fine.

  7. On the back of the exhibit cards is International Auto Shows, with a Michigan address. Some had said that some of the shots were from the Autorama in Detroit in 1958,not sure if they were all taken there.

On another note, does anyone know if this car is still around? On the back of the card it says....

"Neumann Special-Owned by Bill Neumann of Glendale,Ca.

    1931 Ford

1958 Chevy mill bored to 301 cubic inches

Herbert roller cam and Jahn's pistons

    Vertex magneto and triple carbs

Heads are ported, polished and milled to 12-1 ratio

Handmade air scoops on 1948 Lincoln brakes

    Body channeled 9"

    Handmade headers

    1950 Pontiac tailights

Chromed engine with 1948 Ford transmission via a Weber aluminum flywheel and Maxi-Tork clutch

1932 Ford rear end with 3:27 ratio

    Over 100 trophies

    Quarter mile speed of 112mph with a 12.8 e.t.

I noticed that this one has the most detailed specs. of all the exhibit cards...would love too see more shots if someone has them:)

I did find out this is the same Bill Neumann who started Neuspeed Performance and that he also worked for Petersen Publishing.Theres a pic of this very car on the Neuspeed website too.........

Really enjoy looking at your pictures. I love looking in old photo albums either my own family's or stranger's and not even just for the cars but the history of it all.
    Cool Stuff.

It's the Stiletto. Handmade, I believe, by the Gerstner Bros. in New York. Commisioned by car show promoter Bob Larivee in the late 60's-early 70's. Great styling (if only the front wheels could have been concealed). One of the better bubbletops.

Great pictures. Esp. the ones with the people, makes you wonder who they were where they were going or wher had they been.

About 25 years ago I bought two cedar boxes
at an antique store. They were filled with family pictures
shot on 35mm slide film. Mostly family pictures etc.
There were a few with old cars. Here are a couple I
just scanned. Check the 46 Chevy truck and the
old Gulf station. Although the quick scans I just made are ok,
the original AnscoChrome colors look like they were shot yesterday.

    This car is very interesting.
I believe that it started out as a 1932 Auburn Boattail Speedster.
There might be a Deusenberg V12 under the hood.

Current Value of a 1932 Auburn Boattail Speedster
    $400,000-$600,000!
