Hi, Can anybody clue me in on my brakes. I have a 1950 Ford custom deluxe that loves to stop. My brake shoes on the drivers side stay locked firmly to the drum after a few miles. I have replaced both the front wheel cylinders, the front brake hoses and the master cylinder. Once the shoes start staying engaged I can bleed the wheel cylinder and this works for a while. But, sooner or later I get to smell them brakes heating up again. brake lines? shoe return springs? karma? Help!!!!

check your master cyl brake pedel rod, making sure the rod is coming back far enough so master cyl piston is at rest. if this not happening driving a short distance heat starts causing brake fluid to expand causing brakes to start apply without brake pedal being applyed. p.s just because brake lines are new they could be broken inside.
