If I would have know my words would have had that kind of influence I would have taken you for a spin in Big Olds and made sure the topless bug really bit. HAMB Drags = topless cruz for you
it was a sbc with fake covers. and it fooled you even more by having evenly spaced exhaust ports. but apparently ther was a "Y" splitting the exhaust so it didn't look like a sbc. the owner was there when i was looking at it. he apparently just bought it in the auction, and didn't know too much about the car, and he left quickly to go pick up more cars he had bought..
nice pictures man, The last two pics were two of my favorate cars there, that Model A coupe and the '52 Ford, both flatheads, perfect patina.
I wasn't sure exactly what was hiding under those covers... but I knew that it was not a real ARDUN conversion. It's easy to tell that ain't no flathead block... and the intake... and the waterpump... etc., etc.
Looks like a great time, thanks for sharing the pics. If it wasn't for Billetproof at the beginning of the month and Cinematic next week I would've tried to make the show. We'll see about next year.
Friggin KOOL. Now I just need to get off work for that weekend. While at the BackTT50s I really got to thinkin about you and Big Olds when I noticed all the ragtops up there. Then I found a big red cad convert, now that was a big car. lol
Some pics I took while there.... Sorry I didn't make it to the HAMB meet. Got all into taking pictures and walking and lost track of time.
Thanks for all the pics guys. Did anyone get pics of that black A coupe in the in the back behind the unlucky sedan????
I agree Bob...trailers are for boats...unless you car breaks down I wanna thank 413 who tried to help me and did with the info...blew a hydraulic line to my clutch and had to be trailered away...push started it and drove through all the six gears to get back to Fargo....gonna have a new line made up so that may not happen again. It was fun to meet some of you HAMBers at the meet and greet. forgot the camera so no pics...great show as always
It actually was a small block with some crazy exhaust adapter's to split the center pipes like that. Very well done car. I asked the owners how they did it and they told me they wrote the check.... They had just bought it at the auction. Sometimes I think thats what I should do!
