Even a little bit of rain couldn't mess up this show. I've definitely gotten hooked on the Rumble. I'm sure there were a lot of HAMBers there but Bubba was the only one that I met. The man serves up a mean slice of watermelon! But it didn't exactly taste like your average "store bought" watermelon. And I mean that in the best possible way. Here's a batch of pics I took Saturday. Hope it's linked right, this is my first attempt to link to a Picasa gallery. Rod & Custom made a request for photos of car shows that they can't cover so I'll be sending them a disk with all the shots I took there. Somewhere down the road they might show up on the R&C website. Now one of these years I gotta get to the Hunnert Car Pileup!
You should have stuck out you hand. I was standing right by Bubba for about an hour while he p***ed out watermelon. I had a HAMB Drags t-shirt on.
Thanks for the pics. Sorry we missed you all at the meeting but we were indisposed (recovering from Friday night) at the time. Hope everyone had a great time...I know we did.

If I had stuck my hand out it would have been to get a paper towel! After eating I had to head inside the motel to hose off before I even thought about touching my camera. He was p***ing out the melon for free but he should have been selling WetNaps for a dollar. Them boys was e**xtra juicy! And every time I walked past the melon truck Jim was just talking to some ugly guys. Aww gawwwshhhh! You're gonna make me blush, but you're welcome just the same. If you take enough pictures at this show you're bound to get some nice shots. The light was great, there was plenty of good subjects and even a little rain on some of the cars made for some interesting pics.
Hey Clay!!!! I was inside vending so I didn't get to see much. wish I had known you were down there Did you see rob? he was working on the buick tailights. Chuck Wallbridge was down there too. I did run into him on one of my quick ventures outside!!
Sorry I missed you, but then I wasn't exactly looking for you either. They just had the two halls set up for vendors, didn't they? I made a couple p***es thru both of them and even took some pics of the barber and hair stylist at work. Did they have you stuck in a closet somewhere? Saw Rob but he looked like he had a pretty serious thrash going on most of the time. Got one slightly blurry shot of him taking a break and chugging on a cola.
