While reading a post about rivets, I found this site. I saved it for future reference, I thought it might be of use to some of you ,too.http://www.hansonrivet.com/

I love me some Rivnuts (captive fasteners), PEM nuts and PEM studs. I use them at work all the time. I have found hundreds of uses for them on the Buick. Thanks for the site link.

    ZZFORD,

We used rivet nuts on this year's robot to hold polycarbonate sheets to thin aluminum braces. They are the greatest invention ever.

This shot shows the robot hurdling a 40" diameter, 8 pound ball up and over a 6.5' overp*** with room to spare.

Thanks for the link. I added it to my favorites, and I'll order a catalog too.

I have used Hanson's nutsert tool (with 5/16's bolts) to hang a trans crossmember in a rectangular box frame. Drove the car for a couple of years, sold it to a buddy, neither of us had any issues related to the fasteners on that car. Ya gotta love it.

Thanks. I always need sources for "hard to find hardware". Got a customer doing a Pierce Arrow and it's got rivets all over it.
Central Machine Works / Austin, Texas ? No **** too thick.

  10. another great source for rivets is aircraft spruce. im sure you all have heard of them but for those of you that havent..
