Last year was a blast!! (I even won an original JEEM piece in the raffle!) I will definitely be attending SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!! I think I got T McG and his better half coming too.
wow if I get to meet T McG's better half we may be dragged out.... especially since it is so far from home.
is there ever a show like this in L.A. im really into exotica but haven't really found anything down here in so-cal worth going to. there has to be something....
Why, yes it is Brian! Come on out! They're raffling off a bunch of art and....., including two originals from myself.
super cool blowout. The opening band, Wolfman and the Nards, was a surprise! They did not ****! The ASU Polynesian club shook their hips at us. Shrimp Chaperon was ok. The drummer's man-lust and deep loving gaze aimed at the lead guitarist was a bit odd. SSIV rocked the house down with Simiana the monkey belly dancer stuffing her bra with various and ***orted trash found on the floor or peoples pockets and the Van GoGo dancers shaking their chunkiness. The closer band, Swamp Coolers, was good but way too loud for my tender aging ears and the steel drum just didn't seem to fit with the Ventures cover tunes. All in all, Lorna, G-man and I had a great night.
Glad y'all had a good time. I was feeling pretty sketchy and left after the "Nards", they ruled. Wish I had stuck around for the Polynesian Hula Heaven. DANG.
The Nards were great. The Shrimp lead guy was too full of himself, but the drummer was very good, but a little weird. The Hula girls were cool, but the place smelled like stinky feet after they came out! It was an overall good time and the place was decorated very cool. Having to wait outside in 110 degrees ****ed.
Rats! I got delayed on my way back from California, so I missed out. No surfer stomp with Simiana for me. I Guess I'm a chump.
