    For a normal size victor

Thats what they tried to charge me at the welding supply. I think thats rediculious, if i had one for a template i'd be temped to make my own

    Anywhere to get them cheaper??

  2. What measurements do you need? I could put the calipers to mine, but ya gotta make me one too. Just kidding, I can measure it and draw up a sketch.

Geez, couldn't say. I "appropriated" mine off the Trans Alsaka Pipeline Project 30 years ago.

Those kinda prices are what caused me to buy a H-F set . and those tips interchange with the same size Victor.

I paid $90 for mine 3 years ago but it was a larger size, I think the regular size was like $50-55 at the time. Shits outrageous nowadays!

Have you tried buying a Harris Torch lately? Last two I had to buy were $350. You can thank the price of precious metals for that. We just had 5 repaired at a cost of $100 each. Parts are through the roof. I'm not a big fan of the Victor torches, but hey each his own.

Could you get by with a large propane torch ? A large "Weedburner" propane torch is less expensive to purchase and operate.
    Just a thought.

So, are most of you guys Oxy/Acetylene welders? I have been doing a lot of mig on sheetmetal and stick on heavy stock but haven't touched the Acetylene set-up for years now... Any advantages or disadvantages? (other than penetration)

Hah! Lux ,I bought a badass plasma about 4 years ago. It has a variable dial on it. It will cut from sheetmetal to 3/4 " steel. I have used it maybe 10 times. i use my victor daily. I heat my pork and beans but can't make them samwhiches.
