Hey Matt, thanks for posting and welcome to the Hamb. I just looked at the little roadster a couple days ago and am always interested in it's progress. Your Dad Gray is a great guy who I enjoy talking to. Glad he is retiring this summer. Paul from Poverty Flats.

As you can tell by the pictures and the parts list I typed. This is an ultra low buck, fun, non long haul cruiser..... If dad can't buy it on the cheap, or can't fabricate it won't make it on here!! He was just over at my house on Speewaymotors.com looking for hydraulic throw out bearings!!! that would be the most expensive part so far....

Poverty -- you forgot the 34 Packard in the garage also! It is cut down from a 4 door into a gas station pick up in the 40's. Has a flat head.....

Steal the idea! I won't tell..... Not sure how functional they really are? Problem with rust in the future? anyways feel free to use the idea, that is the best part Dad likes it when people like his creations!!

Tell your pops that he has a big thumbs up from north florida! I like the road he is going with this.

    How wide is the frame?
And, why didn't he use the ****** set up and clutch from the pickup?

Original Datsun ****** was way to long. So dad took the recip saw and cut the "bellhousing" off the ****** and had a thick aluminum plate welded to it. then drilled holes for the mounting of the 3-speed. I will have to measure the width of the frame, let's just say it isn't very wide!!!

The good news is the ****** is back in the T-bucket, so he can go back to tinkering with this....

Sorry, you're busted! This is Gary's daughter and he is now a H.A.M.Ber. He is reading this as we speak and says steal away. If you need it has an extra front grille three inches shorter.

Dad still doesn't have his own computer so he as at the mercy of us, his children, as to when he will get to check this message board. My brother or I can p*** messages onto him if you have questions.

Thanks for all of your comments! He is getting a kick out of this whole thing.

Hello, this is Gary. Thanks for all of your great comments. Probably will keep me working. Daughter says keep commenting so my tail stays in gear. A quick minor correction about the car......transmission is a 3-speed rambler. After it is done I am driving it for at least a year before you get a chance to buy it, Paul!
