Wingman(fred) just called to say he's down.
Him and angie are enroute to the Cinematic.

    He's in a white 59 chevy impala 4spd car.

    They are in Clarington Ohio.
1hr North of Marietta on RT.7, north of rt.78

    his cell is 330-442-1022
    hers is 330-442-1023

They need a tow to somewhere to work on it. They don't have AAA

He's having control arm issues, and now clutch is slipping.

    help!!!

He thinks he got the control arm bolts fixed, but the slipping is due to the axle coming out of the center section and rubbing the tire on the inner wheelwell.

Call him if you can help, Please...

I talked to Don Moyer. He isn't too far, and says if Fred hasn't fixed it by the time he gets to rt.78, he'll swing that way.

So far so good. Just lucky that Don was enroute to Cinematic.

Angie called me earlier and said Don was there.

So they seem like they have a plan.

I'll update if anything else comes up.

    Thanks everyone.

Sounds like it's covered but if not and they can get it to Marietta they are more than welcome to use my garage. (not big but it's dry and has lights.)

We made it to a friend's house in marietta. BIG Thanks to Don Moyer and his family for the use of his truck and trailer and to Sherm and his family for their help too. We need an axle bearing for a '59 Chevy. Or a drivers side axle with a good bearing already on it. I tried calling around here but the only place open when we got here was autozone and they said it is unavailable to order. They were able to tell me how much it costs though. So, I guess first thing in the morning I will try my luck at Napa and the other places in town. wish me luck. Thanks to all that called and to Grumpy for throwing this up earlier. Hopefully tomorrow goes a little better.

If your friends are car people they likely know Marietta better than I but I have th ebest luck with old parts at Marietta Ignition 321 2 nd st. 374-6746

If all else fails call my bud Rob. 740-819-1662. If the part is in Marietta he might know where. Watch as he'll talk your leg off. He'll let you know every car that ever came equipped with that bearing. LOL

Tell him Perry said for you to try him.

Just got off the phone with marietta ignition and they said they have it in their warehouse a couple towns over. Hopefully by the time i get the axle out again and get to their place it will be their. I ain't heard no fat ladies yet, so this weekend is still salvagable.
