I am outraged by how many people claim to preach the gospel of traditional hot rodding and then cry tears of remorse over the closing of a shop that is the complete contradiction of what we stand for. Engineering abilities is not what makes one traditional. And anyone who would want, or allow a boyd name on their work is a sellout. Don't call yourself traditional if your not, and if you'er on the fence, get off it. Your protest to this, revels where you stand.

Ok I dont care where you stand on "traditional" hot rods, but Boyd was in the hot rod game longer than most people on this board. No he was'nt trditional in most of his builds, BUT he put alot of his time, effort, and money into what style of hot rods he liked. It is kinda sad to see such an established hot rod buisnes close after all this time, and alot sadder to see a man that did so much to keep hot rodding alive, wether you like his style or not, die. The way I see it we lost a great designer, that dared to do new stuff, new designs, to keep hot rods around, and the shop really could'nt have survived without him and his work.

Ok now that my rant is over stop bitching about it! If you dont care about the shop closing, fuck it! No one cares.

Hot Rods are an expression of the owner it doesn’t matter who built them
If it makes the owner happy then that’s all that counts

Really? You are "outraged" by THAT? I think you need some real problems in your life to worry about. I can maybe see frustrated or even a little annoyed. But outraged? Come on, get a life.

Well as for me, I'm going to stand and be counted. Duration of time he spent, or ability his ability has nothing to do tradition. And apathy is the first death nail towards the end. We should celebrate what traditionally is, if we don't no one else is. Main stream media only severs to blur the lines.

I'm outraged that people even BUY the wrong brand of Dippity-Doo for their hair and use it, wear anything but navy blue Chucks, and roll their cuffs more than the prescribed 2 inches. Wife beater T's aren't Trad either. Good Lord man! What the fuck is this world coming to?!

It's not going to get any better either...I suggest you lock yourself in the bathroom with a copy of Old Skool Rodz and earn yourself some blisters. That's what I'm going to do.

I've got Boyd, I've got non-Boyd. WTF cares?

16. By the way, who's doing the counting........??? Besides if gas keeps going up we will have bigger things to worry about, like being able to drive our hot rods. Now that's something to worry about!
