Anybody heard of this thing before ??? Being offered at auction in Monterey, powered by a V-12 Allison. Kinda looks like a home built copy of the Le Sabre concept car.

Looks like something from Outer Limits collides with Twilight Zone. I sure would like to see the engine.

heres a link to the smallest allison powered car ive ever seen. just looks like a regular pos euro-tuner , but who can resist a wwII fighter engine, no matter whats wrapped around it......scratch that allison part.. its a meteor tank engine. same engine though, just doesnt have the 2 stage supercharger

This car was featured in the November 1954 Hot Rod Magazine. Some friends of mine bought it on a whim and brought it to my shop around '91. This thing is a real beast. I can tell you Mr. Cramer was a free thinker with some interesting mechanical and aesthetic concepts but this "thing" was not drive able then. Form follows function and vice versa.
It has a 6" pipe frame that the coolant runs though and back to a CAT Bulldozer radiator mounted in the trunk with 2-24v aircraft fans. The first time we fired this BABY up was a real treat. It would not run on the Holley carb, the size of a Briggs and Stratton engine with a one inch fuel supply line. So we had to use the 24v booster pump to deliver the fuel at about 30psi. Flames 4 feet long were coming out of the 4 inch LAKES pipes on either side of the car. These engines are a "bit loose" until they heat up and the whole thing sounded like you forgot to tighten any of the bolts up. It was, BIG FUN.
I could tell you a lot more but I m saving "The rest of the Story " for the new owner.
    Maybe not.
