I accidentally ended up with some '40 ford drums redrilled with a 5x5 bolt pattern. I need a pair of wheels like this in 15x6 or 15x7, 5x5 bolt pattern, no multi lug. I tried Early Wheel, Rally America, Wheel Vintiques, no luck. Any ideas?
5x5" was standard full size GM for years and years, Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd pickups/vans 72-up, and Chrysler Imperial in the 50s and 60s. There has to be something out there.
Hey Richard, I have 2 15x7 and 2 15x10....but they are multi lug patterned. Let me know if you want them. the 10" have rubber on them. Same price I gave Ed. Thanks Darryl
Someone on another forum sent me this link. http://www.stocktonwheel.com/nostalgia_wheels.php The only way I'd do it if they did C.O.D. Yeah, right.
Do you mean weld up all the little holes? ****, I'd just get Jimmy to build me some. I was just hoping to find some ready to bolt on.
Just a thought when I heard that bolt pattern. Was kind of a thread steal, but just wondering if anyone needed such an oddball wheel that they tried it. Sorry man, good luck.
I just bought some used tires from a 1970's C-10 that had wheel that looked just like that...5 on 5", non-rally... Just a standard steelie, with dog dish caps? The tire shop kept the wheels, am pretty sure they are still there, probably a 15x6...
Were they chrome? Can you call and tell them you "forgot" your wheels and want them back, I'll compensate ya.
They weren't chrome but there were 4 of 'em, and probably free. I'll check to see if they're still there after work today. Don't know what it would cost to chrome a pair...
I did a couple of searches that you probably did too and only found smoothies in the size you are looking for. I'd think I'd check with some of the older tire stores in your area and see if they had any stashed in the back collecting dust. Check with the places that have been in the same building for 30 or more years.
Wheels of Steel went out of business... He is just running his chrome shop now. He was in Visalia, CA.... Jason.
i got a set of 4.5x15 chromed steel wheels from stockton wheel. they werent real fast, but they look great.
Please let us know how this turns out. Im going to be needing a set of these pretty soon too. I just ***umed I would be able to get them no problem.
Really....He contacted me and another wheel company a couple months ago with a list of all his raw materials and said he was shutting down.(The other guys bought all his inventory). He was just going to run the chrome shop....I never really checked back into it after that..... His website is still up......I will have to call him and find out what is up... Jason.
