Need 2 rooms for Bonneville

OK we screwed up and did not make reversations early enough for Bonneville.I need 2 rooms in Wendover from Mon. Aug 18 for 3 nights. We are driving hot rods from Cincinnati, and some are flying. Thanks Tom mytonka@fuse.net

You might try getting on a waiting list with a hotel. The hotels sold out within hours of releasing the rooms back in January. Either that or try one of the smaller towns an hour away like Wells, NV. Also check the landracing.com forums for rooms available. But chances are those will go quickly to regulars there.

 

Your best bet this late in the game is to rent a motorhome in SLC and camp at the bend. The Hotels were sold out months ago...

 

Good luck. Bring your tent and sleeping bag.

Call the days inn , we cant go , we gave up 16 rooms today .

 

try the aaa tour book if you are a member, i've gotten rooms in wendover during speedweek the same day i arrive. forget the larger hotels.. i use the mom & pops and by 4pm they have gotten cancelations called in that day. and with $4.50 soon to be $6.00 gas i think there will be space this year.

Tried the Days Inn and it was $259 a night with a 7 night minimum.

 

When you get there check the old motels on the Utah side. I got a room a couple of years ago there. Bring camping gear just in case.

 

Will be camping at the bend, more fun anyway than some moldy old hotel room. No motor home here, hotrod has a seat or I have a tent!

Same boat here, a buddy and I are driving out, and just winging it.

 

I am betting with the cost of fuel, state of the economy and all that garbage we've been hearing lately there WILL be rooms available on a first come first serve basis day/week of. I'm sure there will be cancellations between now and then and no-shows the week of.

I got a front or backyard you can camp in. Hour fifteen away from B-ville.

But if your going to camp anyway, I'd just camp out there. Your more than welcome to it though.

 

I have 2 rooms that I do not need at one of the casinos for the entire week. I will check my reservation to verify the casino, my memory went to hell a long time ago. Send me an email if interested and i will do my best to get this transfered to a racer in need. I do not know the hotel policy but thought it would be worth a try for someone.
